About Refujob

Refuse to quit. Refujob is a nonprofit platform created with the purpose of establishing a bridge between Ukrainians looking for a job in Portugal and Portuguese companies that created employment opportunities to ensure a speedier integration in Portugal and a better future. 

This project came after a humanitarian trip to Poland to help those fleeing from war and the work carried out to find the best solutions for accommodation and employment. From the contacts made, it quickly became apparent that many Portuguese companies, sensitive to what is happening in Ukraine, decided to provide employment opportunities. This is how this project, conceived by BLUG and developed by NOVA Innovation & Analytics Lab (NOVA IMS), was born.

Nomination to the WSA

Recently, in September, Refujob was nominated as best national digital solution.

The WSA 2022 nominees will be evaluated based on seven fundamental criteria: Content, Functionality, Design, Technology, Innovation, Impact and Value.

The WSA nominees are selected carefully and highly competitive by the WSA National Experts from more than 184 UN member states. The WSA National Experts nominate up to eight projects for each country – one for every WSA category.

A nomination to the WSA hence is already an award in itself – the qualification to compete and compare on an international level and being the best practice in for innovation and social nationally.
